  Code of Conduct for Players


As a Player for Falls or Steel Baseball and Lady Steel , I agree to:


  • Respect my manager and coaches.  The managers and coaches are volunteers who donate their time to our organization and my appreciation of their help should be displayed in my actions on the field.  It is my duty to listen and follow the instructions of my manager and coaches and to obey the rules that have been set forth by Falls Baseball. 

  • Respect the umpires.  It is my manager’s responsibility to question the umpire when he/she seems there thinks there has been an unfair call.  I will listen to the ruling and not harass or abuse the umpire at any time. 

  • Respect my teammates and other players.  I will not insult, criticize or verbally abuse any other player on my team or the opposing team.  Such behavior destroys team spirit and will not be tolerated by Falls Baseball.

  • Respect equipment and facilities.  I will have respect for the equipment I use.  I will wear my Falls Baseball uniform with pride.  I will respect and take care of the facility, the fields and the dugouts.

  • I will never resort to physical threats or actions to rectify a situation.  This is a game, a place to learn and have fun.  I understand any physical outbursts, or any occurrence of physical threats will be immediately directed to the executive board.

  • I will display good sportsmanship always.  After every game I will shake the opposing players hand and let them know they played a good game.  It’s not whether we win or lose, but it’s how we play the game. I understand that swearing, harassment or inappropriate behavior or language will not be tolerated. 

  • I will remember I am part of a team.  Every player on the team is different with different strengths and weaknesses.  I will remember we win as a team and we lose as a team. 

  • I will remember and respect the team that has made this all possible.  The team of volunteers, parents, coaches, managers and umpires that work every day to help make my experience at Falls Baseball a memorable one. 


Code of Conduct for Parents


As a PARENT of a player for Falls or Steel Baseball and Lady Steel , I agree to:


  • Respect the manager and coaches.  The managers and coaches are volunteers who donate their time to our organization and my appreciation of their help should be displayed in my actions.  If there is a concern, that should be discussed respectfully at a mutually agreeable time. 

  • Respect the umpires.  It is the manager’s responsibility to question the umpire when he/she seems there thinks there has been an unfair call.  I will listen to the ruling and not harass or abuse the umpire at any time. 

  • Respect our team and other players.  I will not insult, criticize or verbally abuse any other player on the team or the opposing team.  Such behavior destroys team spirit and will not be tolerated by Falls or Steel Baseball.  Any negative or derogatory remarks or actions will not be tolerated and will have repercussions. 

  • Respect equipment and facilities. I will respect and take care of the facility, the fields and the dugouts.

  • NO SMOKING – smoking is prohibited at LCLL and FHAA complexes. This includes vaping. 

  • I will never resort to physical threats or actions to rectify a situation.  This is a game, a place for our children to learn and have fun.  I understand any physical outbursts, or any occurrence of physical threats will be immediately directed to the executive board.

  • The playing field is for COACHES AND PLAYERS ONLY.  No parent is allowed on the field at any time unless there is an injury. 

  • I will always display good sportsmanship..  

  • I will remember and respect the team that has made this all possible.  The team of volunteers, parents, coaches, managers and umpires that work every day to help make our experience at Falls or Steel Baseball a memorable one. 

  • Absolutely NO Alcohol On The Premises. This also travels with you to other complexes as well.  If you are caught with any open containers or show signs of intoxication you will be removed and suspended followed by possible termination from the league. The Falls board will have a meeting on what the punishment will be.

Code of Conduct for Managers and Coaches

As a Manager/Coach for Falls Baseball, I agree to:

- Learn, Know and Follow all Rules. I will conduct myself in accordance with these rules. I will take
responsibility in understanding all rules prior to the beginning of the season. I will learn, know and follow
all playoff rules as they may change from the season rules.

-Respect all players. I will ensure that all criticism I offer to my players will be constructive. I will treat
them fairly and equitably within the rules. I will never resort to physical or verbal threats toward my
players. I will refrain from using inappropriate language at or around my team. I will do my best to teach
my players the game of baseball/softball to the best of my abilities. Most of all, I will do everything I can to
ensure that everyone on my team is safe and has fun.

-Respect all parents. I will work to keep my team parents informed about all team and league activities. I
will schedule a parent meeting at the start of the season to discuss my expectations of the players and the
parents of my team.

- Respect all umpires. I will not berate or abuse an umpire. I understand the manager is the only one that
can question calls and he/she is the only coach who may enter the field with permission from the umpire.
If I get ejected from a game I will leave the field within two minutes of the time of ejection. I understand
that I will be suspended for the following game. All ejections/suspensions are reviewable by the League
executive board for further disciplinary action.

-Follow proper channels to resolve any disputes. I understand I have a strong organization to assist me
in the resolution of problems, issues or disputes. If problems arise, I will discuss them with my managers
or coaches, the player(s), the parents, and the League executive board if needed.

- NO Smoking. I will remember that LCLL and FHAA are nonsmoking facilities. This includes vaping.

-Display good sportsmanship at all times. I will strive to set an example in all personal contact and show
respect to my team and the opposing team; manager, coaches, players, parents, umpires, fans and
LCLL/FHAA boards. I will be supportive when good plays are made by either team. I will shake all coaches
and opposing team hands at the conclusion of every game. I WILL RESPECTFULLY TAKE CARE OF THE
FIELDS, FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT THAT WE USE.

-Drafts. I will not seek to manipulate signups, drafts, tryouts or league rules to achieve an unfair advantage
for mine, or any other team.

- Assistant Coaches. I will have a MAXIMUM of 4 coaches in my dugout, including myself. NO exceptions.

- Be a positive contributor to LCLL/FHAA. Take pride in making LCLL/FHAA top quality youth
organizations. Be a positive and caring influence and an encouraging force in teaching the lessons of play
and sportsmanship through the game of baseball/softball.

-Background Checks. Will be produced to a league official prior to the start of the season.
Any manager or coach found to have engaged in prohibited conduct will be subject to disciplinary action
up to and including immediate dismissal. All disciplinary action will be reviewed by the LCLL/FHAA board.
